Born in Paris, Patrick has made Konstanz his home since 1977.

Patrick has collaborated and toured with highly respected international artists including:
Paolo Fresu, Sheila Jordan, Pee Wee Ellis, David Friedman, Barry Harris, Teddy Edwards, Arthur Blythe, Scott Hamilton, Mark Soskin, Richie Beirach, Jimmy Woode Jr., Reggie Johnson, Vince Benedetti, Harvie Swartz, Tim Hagans, Allan Praskin, Gary Barone, Sandy Patton, Cornelius Claudio Kreusch, Gregor Huebner to name a few and played with some of the best German and Swiss musicians of his generation.

His debut CD “Ready and able” (live with Jimmy Woode Jr.) from 2001 was very well received by critics and colleagues. As was the next CD “Yoda’s dilemma” from 2008 with the Patrick Manzecchi quartet which consists of Andi Maile & Juergen Bothner (both tenor sax) and Jens Loh (upright bass).

• Patrick Manzecchi is an honour member of the Jazzclub Konstanz.
• In 2004 he was awarded the town's cultural prize of Friedrichshafen.
• DUSK MAGAZINE named Patrick “Jazzman Of The Month” in 2007 (US print, January 07)

Patrick Manzecchi is selftaught (since his early age of 11) and deeply influenced by Max Roach, Art Blakey, Philly Joe Jones, Jimmy Cobb, Elvin Jones, Billy Higgins, Roy Haynes, Tony Williams, Al Foster, Paul Motian, Ben Riley, Louis Hayes, Joe Chambers etc. 

He knows about tradition, is considered to be one of the best Bop drummers in Germany and is highly respected for his authenticity and floating swing. 

Worth to mention: Patrick is the son of the late Italian Jazz drummer Franco Manzecchi who worked in Paris and Italy with Bud Powell, Teddy Wilson, Dexter Gordon, Eric Dolphy, Chet Baker, Johnny Griffin, Mal Waldron, Sonny Stitt, Lucky Thompson, Hank Mobley, Tony Scott, Clark Terry, Joe Henderson, Donald Byrd, Barney Kessel.
